The Start of Spring on the Marsh
The Start of Spring on the Marsh
11x14 acrylic on stretched canvas.
As winter fades away, the remaining brown grass and mud become visible on the bay side of the Cape. Many birds gather on the edge of the Bay after enduring the cold days of winter. Approaching these resilient creatures on a tranquil spring morning often startles them, as they have grown accustomed to a landscape devoid of human presence. Within this painting, a subtle darkness pervades, marking a departure from the brightness of the previous pieces in the collection. This darkness serves to illustrate the gradual transition from winter to spring, with glimpses of delicate green grass beginning to emerge, signaling the impending arrival of a new season.
It is signed on the front of the painting.
Each painting comes with a certificate of authenticity.
